He was born here, son of Miles and Ella E. Kelsey Plummer Sr.
For 31 years, Mr. Plummer was employed at Bristol School as a bus driver and custodian. He retired at age 82.
He continued driving and traveling locally.
Mr. Plummer was a Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed farming.
His wife, Louise W. Chapman Plummer, died in 1986, and a daughter, Marie Knipe, died in 1989.
Surviving are a son, Howard of Walpole; two sisters, Beulah Pitcher and Thelma Alley; two half brothers, Donald Plummer of Sheepscot, and Douglas Plummer of Damariscotta; a stepsister, Hazel Chipman of South Bristol; seven grandchildren, including Dwayne A. Plummer, with whom he lived for the past several years, and eight great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Strong Funeral Home, Damariscotta. Burial will be in Bristol Mills Cemetery.
