Also surviving are their children: Brenda (Jon) Stocker of Elida, Beverly (Todd) Frideger of New Bremen, and Brian Nedderman of Celina; grandchildren: Adam and Andrea Stocker of Elida, and Shelby and Alec Frideger of New Bremen; and a brother, Ned (Kathy) Meyer of Celina. Preceding her in death along with her parents was her sister Ruby Ann Meyer.
Barbara was a 1957 graduate of Rockford High School. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Celina where she was active in the Altar Guild, Grace Circle, and Sewing Circle of the church. She was also active with the Satellite B Group of St. Paul U.C.C. of New Bremen. She retired in 2003 after working 26 years at the Celina Insurance Group. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed the many trips they took to Siesta Key, Florida.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John Lutheran Church in Celina with Rev. Dr. Jeffery Gramza and Rev. Dr. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 3 until 7 P.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen and one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
