He came to Exeter with his parents in 1900, and attended the Exeter public schools. When a young man he took up railroading and was employed by C. & N. W. and the Burlington Companies in Nebraska. About twenty years ago, he went to California where he has been in the employ of the Western Pacific at Sotckton, Calif. for the past fourteen years.
He leaves two sisters, Alice Sturdevant, of Los Angeles, Calif. and Gladys Craven, of Exeter; two nieces, one nephew and numerous friends. On account of his generous and pleasing personality, he leaves a host of friends that sincerely mourn his loss.
Funeral services were held at the Farmer Funeral home Saturday, Nov. 18, conducted by Rev. Samuel Beechner and interment was in the Exeter Cemetery.
