A native of Cleveland County, N.C., she was the widow of James Henry Nicholls and daughter of the late Francis M. and R. Celena Dickson. She was a member of Whitney Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Nicholls of Chicago, Howard Nicholls of Gaffney; a daughter, Lottie Guy of Spartanburg; 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Lanford-Pollard Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel by the Revs. Harold Baker and W. M. Jenkins. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home of Irene Long, 2374 Avondale St., Spartanburg.
