Willie Sue Mayo LUBBOCK-Willie Sue Mayo, 86, of Afton Texas passed away on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013. She was born Aug. 16, 1927. She married H. C. Clifford Mayo. She was a teacher for 34 years, and a licensed preacher in Dickens at the Bible Church of the Nazarene. She and her husband were mission-minded. Sue is survived by her husband, Clifford; daughters, Pauletta Sue Lovett, Ann Hohner; Darla Mayo, Starla Jones and Dr. Aaronda Mayo-McCartney; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Her family was extended by the students she taught. A visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home and a funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Bible Church of the Nazarene in Dickens with Evangelist Clifford Mayo and Dr. David Downs officiating. Burial will follow at the Mayo Cemetery, 7M Ranch in Dickens County. Sue had a deep love for children and God.
