JESSE R. JR. Jesse R. Stone, Jr., 83, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the CT Hospice, Branford. He was the husband of the late Lois-Jean Hanks Stone. Jesse was born in New Haven on February 27, 1930; son of the late Jesse R. Stone, Sr. and Gladys Viola Handy Stone; was a lifelong resident of North Haven; had worked for many years for UMC Electronics until his retirement and later worked as a truck driver for Borelli Farms. Jesse was an avid hunter and fisherman. Father of Glenn R. Stone, Sr., Laura (Richard) Monico, William (Pamela) Hawthorn and the late Dawn Stone Esposito. Grandfather of Glenn R. (Amanda) Stone, Jr. and Tara Stone (Daniel) Korapatkin. Great-Grandfather of Ryan Monico, Gianna, Gabriella and Gracie Stone, and Zoe Korapatkin. Brother of Lois Woodward, Roy Stone, Virginia Minor, Arlene Writington and the late Albert, Charles, James and Herbert Stone, Charlotte Colberg, Sally and Violet Nettleton. Also survived by his care giver Jason Merritt and his beloved dog Petey. Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning, October 23rd at 10:30 with the Rev. Scott Morrow officiating. Interment will follow in the North Haven Center Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Tuesday, October 22nd from 5 to 8 pm.
