Gaffney, S.C. - Jason Norwood, 31, of 137 Warrior Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital.
Born in Boone N.C., he was the husband of Jacqueline (Jackie) Jennings Norwood and the son of William Norwood and Ann Pendley Norwood of Gaffney.
He was a cable installer and was a Little League Coach for Cherokee Recreation. Mr. Norwood was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife and parents, also surviving is a son, Landen Norwood of the home; a daughter, Abigail Norwood of the home; a brother, Jeffery Norwood and wife, Crystal of Boiling Springs; two sisters, Jessica Norwood Crow of Gaffney and Chelsey Norwood of Boone; maternal grandparents, Billy and Patsy Pendley of Lincolnton; paternal grandmother, Betty Norwood of Boone; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Norwood was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Buster William Norwood.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at El Bethel Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:30 at the church with Dr. Larry Melton and Rev. Clifford Phillips officiating. Interment will be in El Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
