Ralph W. (Trapper) Brown, 70, Route 1, Bemidji, died at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Minneapolis on Saturday. He was born at Alexandria, March 17, 1899 and came to Bemidji with his parents. James and Jennie Brown as an infant and had spent most of his life in this community with the exception of five years in Elgin. III., and four years in the Minneapolis area. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, the former Rose L. Schmilt to whom he was married in Bemidji Oct. 10. 1923; a son, Francis of Brisbane, Australia; three daughters. Rose Marie Brown and Mrs. John Garin (Judy Ann) of St. Paul. Mrs. Jack Rasmussen (Kathleen), Grand Marais; three grandchildren: two brothers, Arthur L. Brown. Bemidji and Leo Noel. Gary. Ind.: a sister. Mrs. Bertha Anderson, Bemidji.

Funeral services will be held at St. Philip's Catholic church Tuesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Francis Lemen will officiate with burial in Holy Cross cemetery under the direction of the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home. (Bemidji Daily Pioneer, Dec 23, 1969)
