A lifelong residient of the borough, he was retired on disability from his job as a furnace operator at U.S. Aluminum Company in Marietta.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of William Brenner Post 466 of the American Legion of Marietta.
He was also a member of Marietta Beneficial
Association. Beaston was married 34 years in March to Mildred Beaston.
Born in Marietta, he was a son of the late
Linden O. and Rhoda M. Hilt Beaston.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters: Christine M. Nethery of Eliza-
betown, Darlene M. Beaston of Mt. Joy and Cindy L., wife of James Jiminez of Columbia; three sons: Christian D. Jr. of Wrightsville, Michael E. of Columbia and Stevem E. of Washington Boro; 11 grandchildren; and a stepmother, Edna M. Bender Beaston of Marietta.
Also surviving are four sisters: Dorothy, wife of Richard Walter of Lancaster, Rhoda, wife of Pat Andrews of Columbia R1, Shirley, wife of Robert Eshelman of Marietta, and Denise, wife of James Squibbs of Marietta; four brothers, Charles L. of Columbia, Robert E. of Columbia
R1, and Walter E. and James R., both of Marietta; and two stepbrothers: James Albert of Marietta and Jeff Frey of Elizabethtown.
