Mr. Dixon enjoyed singing, fishing and traveling. He was under watch care at Whole Truth Church of God in Christ in Frankville, Supt. Solomon C. Smith. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
Left to cherish his memories are his devoted parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Dixon Sr., and Martha Ree Dixon; two sisters, one devoted, Ruth Ann (Robert) Morris of Frankville and Gloria (Quincy) Herrien of Wiggins, Miss.; two devoted brothers, Don (Debra) Dixon of Frankville and Willie Woodard of Shady Grove; four sons, Andrew Dixon of Buckatunna, Miss., Kevin Dixon of Grady, Ark., Tyrone (Vanessa) Taylor of Grove Hill and Xavier Jones of Jamestown, Calif.; 10 daughters, Michelle Fairley of Mobile, Melneshia (Fredrick) Jackson of Saraland, KaTauna Dixon and Shereese Foster, both of California, YeVonda (Shacarto) London of Buckatunna, JaMeka Thompson of Shady Grove, Tawanna Pierce of Cairo, Ill., Tajma Woodson-Sherrod and Jete' Woodson, both of Joliet, Ill., and Malissa Sleets of Tuscaloosa; wife, Sharon Sleets Dixon of Tuscaloosa; 33 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two devoted aunts, Edna Dixon of Frankville and Crezeel Sellers of Joliet; two uncles, Scott (Carol) Dixon of Saint Petersburg, Fla. and Samuel (Berta) Washington of Tampa, Fla.; devoted cousins, Cora Marin, Charles James Dixon, Willie Lewis Dixon and Rosie (Michael) Barnes; a dear friend, Deborah Jackson; two devoted nieces, Melissa (Billy) Drake and Katrina Polellnitz; eight nephews, three devoted, DeLarry Dixon, Don Dixon Jr. and Derrick Bowman; and a host of other friends and extended family.
Visitation will be Friday, May 24, from 6-8 p.m., in the chapel of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 25, with viewing from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2, at the Whole Truth Church of God in Christ with Supt. Solomon C. Smith, pastor, as officiating minister. The church is located at 175 New Hope/Dixon Circle in Frankville. Interment will follow in the Mt. Bethel Cemetery in Frankville.
