Tommy was the son of Tom and Elsie Slovak Slama. He grew up in Ennis, and graduated from St. John Catholic High School in 1969. On July 26, 1974, he married Jeanette Bohanon and they made their home in Ennis. Tommy was the owner and operator of Lionbacker store for over thirty years. He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and the KJT. He enjoyed hunting and gardening. Tommy was a one of a kind person, always generous and genuine.
Tommy was survived by his wife Jeanette Slama, son Tommy Lee Slama and wife Haley of Ennis, daughter Shelley Guerrero and husband Jason of Ennis, grandchildren Keira and Hannah, sister Elsie Jane Marak and husband Raymond of Ennis, sister Georgia Ann LaScala of Ennis, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
