He was raised in Crest Hill, Jack attended Lockport High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy aboard the Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Jack loved spending time with his family and friends, especially if it included karaoke. Jack loved music and singing. He is up there with Roger right now singing some Elvis. Always known as 'the life of the party' with his contagious smile, Jack was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan, as well as the Chicago Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks.
Jack is survived by his two loving daughters, Tara (Matthew) Hrpcha and Stephanie (Brian) McGahey; granddaughter Madelyn Hrpcha, his father Gaylon, brothers, Tim (Cathy) and Bob Yates; favorite cousin Shelly, numerous family members; his "Crest Hill Gang" and friends.
A celebration of Jack's life will be Monday, November 18, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gerharz-Cappetta Funeral Home, 501 State Street, Lemont.
