In 1805 John Ennis accompanied by his grown married children and their families trekked to Warren Co., Ky along with Elizabeth and her husband Pleasant Martin. Her daughter Sarah Ann "Sally" Martin first married James Ball Davis by whom she had a son James W. Davis--Davis deserted her and went to Tennessee. Her father went to Tennessee to see Davis and see about getting a divorce for his daughter which did not happen until 1829 and to get Davis to pay the debts he left behind in Warren Co, Ky and for which Pleasant Martin was being sued for as his father-in-law--her father passed away in July or August 1825 in Warren Co., Ky probably from the stress of his daughter's problems and the lawsuit --Sarah married her first cousin John James Edmunds--sometime after the birth of last child (1842), J J and Sarah Edmunds move to Henry Co., Tenn--at sometime her mother Elizabeth Ennis Martin joined them in Henry Co., Tn and she was on the 1850 census with her widowed daughter Sarah Edmunds--do not really know where she is buried but assume it is with her daughter Sarah and John James Edmunds in the Edmunds Cemetery.
I believe the 3 Edmunds tombstones in Maplewood Cemetery in Henry County Tennessee marked Mother, Father, Sister are for Saran Ann, her husband J J Edmunds and their daughter who died around 12 years of age 1)Edmunds Father---Find A Grave Memorial# 18754691 2)Find A Grave Memorial# 18754709Edmunds Sister 3)Find A Grave Memorial# 18754701Edmunds Mother.
