Reese Eavenson
Reese Eavenson, 84, a former resident of Christiana, died Tuesday at the home of a son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Emily Y Yocum, near Baltimore, Maryland.
He was born in Lancaster County, a son of the late Reese and Hannah Cooper Eavenson and was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, and Christiana Lodge 417, Free and Accepted Masons. His late wife was Belle M Eavenson.
Surviving are three daughters, Sara, wife of Emley Y Yocum, with whom he resided, Harriet, wife of Elwood Lantz, Seattle, Washington and Reese Eavenson, Jr, Trenton, New Jersey.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was the last of his immediate family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Wentz Funeral Home in Atglen. Interment will be in the Old Sadsbury Friends Burial Grounds. Friends have been invited to call at the funeral home Friday evening.
