Funeral Services for Kathleen Elizabeth Abrams, 91, of Baker are 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the American Lutheran Church, Baker, MT with Pastor Bruce Kolasch officiating. Burial will be in the Ollie Cemetery, Ollie, Montana.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker, MT. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Stevenson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at the American Lutheran Church.

Kay passed away, on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Fallon Medical Complex in Baker.

She was born May 1, 1922 the daughter of James and Vera (Whiting) Horton on her grandfather's ranch at Reed Point, MT.

Kay moved with her family to Billings, MT where she attended Garfield School, Billings Senior High and Eastern Montana College. She received her Teaching Certificate and taught school for several years in eastern Montana country schools.

Kay was married to Harry Cecil Abrams on July 8, 1943 in Columbus, MT. To this union, six children were born-Roberta, Janet, Vera, Charles, Evelyn, and Alice. Together, as Harry farmed and ranched, Kay took care of the children. Her home was always a gathering place for the entire neighborhood. She had the ability to make any and all obey the rules, settle the spats, but also to be the protector. She was forever a teacher.

Kay was a member of Baker Women's Club, Beaver Valley Homemakers, American Lutheran Church, and worked at Samsel's Department Store for several years. After Harry's death, she moved to Parkview Complex and later Fallon Medical Complex Long Term Care.

Kay is survived by six children, Roberta (Paul) Mogan, Tucson, AZ, Janet (Robert) Singer, Vera Abrams, Charles (Donna) Abrams, Evelyn (Jim) Neary, and Alice Abrams all of Baker, MT. Grandchildren, Robert (Billie) Moon, Jerad (special friend Karmen) Singer, Robyn (Jarrett) Hadley, Derek (Sheena) Abrams, Drew (Becky) Abrams, Kathleen (Cody) Meidinger, Brandon (fiance Aleta) Neary, Annie (Chris) Lashley, Jim Pat Neary and Melissa Neary. Great-grandchildren, Theresa and Philip Moon, Jaxson, Macee and Walker Hadley, TayLee and Tayten Abrams, Piper and Emmy Abrams, Ethan and Owen Meidinger, Azhia and Jhett Quade, Kaitlyn, Desiree and Brian Hawk, and Kristin and Paige Lashley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother, and an infant sister
