Samuel George “Sammie” Vogel was born May 22, 1951 to Samuel Vogel and Norma Weber Vogel in Enid, OK.

He spent his life on the Vogel farm east of Marshall, OK., He graduated from Marshall High School in 1969 and attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva for two years, and welding school at Autry Vo-Tech for one year.

Sammie married Brenda S. Mirkes Aug. 24, 1974.

He was a member of the Marshall Co-op board, the Logan County Water board, the school board, on the Logan County FSA and NRCS committees and a member of the Lions Club.

A resident of Marshall, OK., he died at the age of 53, Feb. 5, 2005 in Beaver, OK.

Survivors were his wife; three sons, two grandchildren, his mother, and two sisters.

He was preceded in death by his father; and one granddaughter, Ashley.
