Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Village Chapel for Annie Rollins Conner, 102, Alabama City, who died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008. The Rev. Bill McCormick will officiate. Burial will be in Forrest Cemetery. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Conner was born in Cleburne County and lived most of her life in Etowah County. At the time of her death, she was the oldest living member of James Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Conner; her parents; five sisters; and two brothers.
Mrs. Conner is survived by daughters, Iva Nell (Mack) Greer, Boaz, Bonnie (Evans) Tidwell, Attalla, and Juanice (Sherry Jack) Bowen, Boaz; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Donald Dye, Gregory Dye, Greg Dye, Sherman Harper, Billy Hardy and Bruce Ballenger.
Special thanks to Frances Anderson, Southern Care Hospice, Frances Love, Jamie, Michelle and Jeanette.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
