Neola Irene Davison Beeson

Neola Irene Davison Beeson, 90, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, passed away November 16, 2013 at Collier Hospice, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

She was born January 18, 1923 in Burchard, Pawnee County, Nebraska to Oliver Landon Davison and Grace Mae Boots Davison. The family moved to North Platte, Nebraska, where she was graduated from North Platte high school in 1939.

Neola met and married Ora Everett "Pete" Beeson November 20, 1940 in North Platte. They were married for 70+ years. Two children were born to this union, Ronald Dean and Connie Kay.

Pete was life long employee of the Union Pacific Railroad. He worked in North Platte as Chief Dispatcher. In 1968 they were transferred to Omaha, Nebraska, and made their home in Omaha/Council Bluffs. After Pete retired in 1978, they moved to Little Rock, Arkansas to live near daughter Connie and family. They then returned to North Platte for a few years and later moved to Boise, Idaho to be close to son Ron, where they lived until after Ron passed away in 1999. The last move was to Wheat Ridge, Colorado, where they lived their final years.

Neola was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She did not work outside the home (a job in itself), but did enjoy doing volunteer work and participated in other various organizations; PTA, Christian Women's Club, missionary societies and taught Sunday school for many years. She and Pete were very active members of the Church of the Nazarene wherever their home. She was President of the North Platte Chapter of the WCTU and officer in the state organization. She did much church work and served on local, district and national board levels.

Her life focus was on church and family. She loved to cook and would always cook favorites when her family visited.

Neola was preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Grace Davison; husband Pete Beeson, son Ron Beeson; and two brothers, Linus Otto Davison and Arlington Eugene Davison.

She is survived by daughter, Connie Beeson Gibson/Mike Black of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; granddaughters, Gina Leigh Gibson Stouffer/Blake Stouffer and great-grandson Sebastian "Baz" Stouffer of Charleston, South Carolina; Greta Lynn Gibson Walker/Clark Walker and great-grandson, Connor Ritchey, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Daughter-in-law Jamelyn Beeson Merker of Nampa, Idaho, granddaughter Michelle Dawn Beeson Murray/Kermit Murray, great-grandsons, Matthew and Nathan Murray of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; grandson Lance Dean Beeson/ Donna Beeson and great-grandsons, R.J., Jackson, Trey and great-granddaughter, Lily Beeson of Meridian, Idaho.
