The excerpt below is from the Weekly Telegraph And Messenger, Macon, Georgia September 4, 1885. It is from an article about the death of Hon. Willis Craft's son, Hon. John Franklin Craft.

Atlanta, August 28 - In the Senate this morning, at 12 o'clock, the special order was the report of the committee appointed to prepare suitable resolutions on the death of the late Senator Craft.

Hon. John Franklin Craft was born in the county of Elbert and at the date of his death had attained the age of forty seven years. He was the oldest son of Hon. Willis Craft who was much respected by his people and who frequently represented his county and district in the general assembly of the state.

Also, kudos and thanks to her for her very impressive and very helpful family history website BeginwithCraft.com and Blog BeginwithCraftBlogspot.com.

And, the following was received from Valerie 30 Jan 2015.

I was able to go out and visit the grave of Willis Craft today. I've added photos, but I think you'll need to create the cemetery. If you edit the burial location and search for a "Willis Craft Cemetery" it should let you create one when you can't find it. The cemetery is located at .
