FAYETTEVILLE - Anthony "Tony" C. Jacobs left this world Monday, Sept. 28, 2009. He was born Aug. 27, 1967, in Cumberland County. He is survived by his wife, Renee Jacobs; a daughter, who is due to be born in October 2009; his parents, Cecil and Barbara Jacobs; brother, Warren Jacobs and his significant other, Julie Lee; and cousins, Glen House and Patty Van Buren, who were considered Tony's brother and sister. He is also survived by his in-laws, George and Susan Montgomery; and a large family of aunts, uncles and cousins, who loved him dearly. Tony was heavily involved with the Fayetteville Police Department's volunteer program, C.O.P's (Citizens on Patrol) and the many other volunteer organizations where he assisted the F.P.D. He was also an active voice for wildlife and conservation in North Carolina. All those who knew and loved Tony were deeply touched by his compassion, generosity and wisdom, not to mention his willingness to always lend a helping hand to those in need. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will conducted at 4 p.m. today, Oct. 2, 2009, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville, with Police Chaplain Darwyn Hudson officiating. Services entrusted to Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home of Fayetteville
