Seth Downing Wetmore, b. 28 Dec 1811 at St. Albans, VT to Hon. Seth Wetmore and Salome Smith. After the death of his father, he came with his brother Charles W. Wetmore to Cuyahoga, Falls, OH in 1832. Their father's younger brother was, William Wetmore, who founded Cuyahoga Falls, OH in 1812. Seth D. Wetmore was one of 19 men to incorporate and inact a turnpike connecting Cuyahoga Falls, Medina, Wellington and Norwalk Turnpike Road Company which was signed on 14 Mar 1838. On 15 Mar 1835 he married Sophonia Burrows of Portage Co., OH and they had one daughter, Helen Frances born at Cuyahoga Falls in 1836. He died in Massillon on 13 May 1853.
