Per kkruecke (#48375271): "…there is no headstone photo for Maria Mai Bruer Feld from the St Johannis Cemetery, Marion Tsp, Allen, IN, of which I am aware. I emailed Ms Patee, who authored memorial #77808224, recently about someone else buried in St. Johannis, and she made this general comment about the burials in St. Johannis (St John) Cemetery, Marion, Allen IN: '... when entering the enterments at Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Marion Tsp, Allen Co., Indiana, all I had to work with was a very old reading of the cemetery from the 1950's and the original list of burials (all done in old script german). When the church was disband[ed], some of the family members thought it best to move their loved ones and some others put up headstones in their memory where the spouse or children were buried (cenotaphs). There are very few headstones still in existence and the cemetery is in awful condition.' At the Indiana Genealogical Society [Rootsweb] site for St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Marion Tsp., under the heading...'The listings below were taken by the Allen County Genealogical Society from the records of the church. No stones were found for these people,' it does list Feld Maria Mai 1 Mai 1871 12 Mai 1889 dau of Martin Bruer wife of Wilhelm Feld 18J 11T. And 18 J(ahre) 11 T(age) = 18 years and 11 days. This differs by one day with the inscription in the photo for # 120376993 (of 18Y 12D). While there is this 'discrepency' of one day, it is clear that Mary M Bruer Felt and Maria Mai Bruer Feld are the same person."
