In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Randy Newton of the home; a son, Casey Newton and wife, Kelly of Forest City; a sister, Hope Eitel Jenkins of Forest City, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at two o'clock in the afternoon, Sunday, November 17, 2013 in the Crestview Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Rohm officiating. Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from one until two o'clock Sunday in the church sanctuary. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
