He was born on July 26, 1924, near Reedsburg, WI, the son of Walter and Ella (Krentz) Foss.
He married Laura Draeger on May 14, 1949, in Waterloo, WI. Albert was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Princeton.
He graduated from Baraboo High School and then served his country in the United States Army Air Corp, where he was an aircraft repairman, working on C-47's and other aircraft. Albert then worked at Speed Queen in Ripon in the service department shipping parts out to customers for almost 40 years.
He enjoyed bowling on the Speed Queen Bowling Team called the "Service Hummers", and also enjoyed traveling around the state visiting State Parks, going to rummage sales, gardening, fishing with his son, ice fishing for lake trout & northern pike, walleye fishing at night on Lake Puckaway, and going out for Friday night fish fries.
Albert is survived by his son, Randall Foss of Ripon; one brother, John (Beverly) Foss of Corpus Christi, TX; one sister, Maxine (Harvey) Ingelse of Fort Meyers, FL; and one sister-in-law, Marion Garthwait of Lake Mills, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Laura; one brother, Frank Foss; and one sister, Shirley House.
A funeral service for Albert K. Foss will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 W. Harvard Street, Princeton, WI, with the Reverend Daniel Heiderich officiating. There will be no visitation per Albert's request. Burial will follow the service at the Memory Hill Cemetery, Princeton.
