7 November 1839, Ephraim was granted 320 acres in Red River County, Texas.
Ephraim D. Moore began preaching in 1807 at the age of 25. He was in the battle of New Orleans with General Jackson. Moore was an eloquent and powerful preacher of the Christian church. He moved to Red River County, Texas and lived there until his death. He died of apoplexy on his farm and never spoke again.
