CENTRAL KENTUCKY NEWS JOURNAL OBITUARY – 07/03/1919

The many friends of the family here received the sad intelligence Tuesday, June 24, [1919] that Mrs. Sarah Coakley Webster, the beloved wife of Cliff Webster, had passed away in a hospital in Louisville. She with her husband and family had only recently removed from this community to Louisville, and her health although not the best, gradually became weaker until death relieved her of her suffering. She was a devout Christian, a good wife and mother, and many hearts in this and Green County are made sad in her going.

Prior to her marriage, she was a daughter of Thomas and Mrs. Coakley of the Brush Creek section of Green County. To this union several children were born, 3 preceding her. Among those who survive is Mrs. R. Garnett Graves of this city who is a sister.

The body of Mrs. Webster arrived in this city at noon Thursday the 26th and was taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bloyd of Brush Creek. On the next day the funeral was held at Taylor's Chapel by her pastor, assisted by Rev. Christie and the burial followed in the Coakley cemetery. To the bereaved husband, children, sisters and brothers, is the sympathy of their many friends extended and may the bereaved know that their loss is her great gain.
