She worked as a cook and manager in Spokane throughout the years, particularly at the coffee shops of Union Pacific Railroad, Great Northern Railroad and Wandermere Golf Course. Lorene loved craft work, and was known for her silk flower arrangements and other creative gifts that she designed and shared with family and friends. A true dog lover, she shared her home with many little dogs through the years. She was an avid fan of the Seattle Mariners baseball team and was beloved by all for her feisty character, kindness and independence.
