Falls Painter, Who Came Here from Elmira in 1886, Passes
James Walter Nurse, resident of this city for many years, died in Buffalo yesterday. Funeral services will be held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Rae Irish, 426 Cedar avenue, at 3 p.m. tomorrow, the Rev. Henry Weeks, of Epiphany Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. A native of Horseheads, N.Y., Nurse came here from Elmira in 1886. A painter by trade, he was a member of the local painters' union. Besides his daughter, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. George Lattim.. of Horseheads, and several nieces and nephews.
