Denise M. Coleman age 43 of Upper Darby, Pa. went home to be with the Lord on October 24, 2013 at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnwood, Pa. Denise was born in Darby, Pa. to Dennis M. Coleman and the late Cynthia Watson Hightower. She was a graduate of St. Mary Academy Bay View High School, The University Of Rhode Island where she received her BA degree in speech communications, her masters degree in elementary education from St. Joseph University and a masters of science degree in organization leadership from Cabrini College. Denise also studied at Richmond College in London, England and was a doctoral student at Widener University. She was employed as an educator at New Foundations Charter School in Holmesburg, Pa. Denise was a faithful member of Highway Church of Christ in Sharon Hill, Pa. In addition to her mother, Denise was also pre-deceased by her maternal grandfather – Cranston Watson, and her paternal grandparents – Charles Fred and Barbara Coleman. Her beautiful memory will be forever cherished by her son Robert Elijah "Eli" Coleman, her father Dennis M. Coleman, Esq., stepmom – Miriam Coleman, maternal grandmother – Mother Ernestine Watson, 2 brothers – Curtis Jason Coleman, and Dustin Joseph Coleman {Shayla}, 1 sister – Rashida Watson, 1 nephew- Kevin Watson, devoted Mom-Mom – Savannah "Cookie" Wilmore, a devoted friend – Jerome Darby, host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Viewing: Thursday October 31. 2013 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Earl L. Foster Funeral Home 1100 Kerlin St. Chester, pa.
Service: Friday November 1, 2013 11:00 am at Aldan Union Church 7 East Providence Road – Aldan, Pa. Viewing: 9:00 am- 11:00am. No viewing after the eulogy. Interment: Eden Cemetery - Collingdale, Pa.
