Wayne was born in Pearl, Texas, to the late Sterling and Hattie Key. He made his living as an owner/operator truck driver for approximately 45 years. Wayne enjoyed telling truck stories and the places that he had been. He traveled thru 48 of 50 states and three Canadian Providences.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Phillip Key and E.D. Key; and brother-in-law, Clifton Kerley.
Wayne is survived by his son, James Key and wife, Sarah; grandchildren, A.J., Shelbi, and Logan Key, all of South Coffeyville OK; brothers, Luther Key and wife, Carol, of Rialto, CA, and Dan Key and wife, Patsy, of Azle, TX; sisters, Betty Rotenberry and husband, Tom, of Evant, and Joyce Kerley, also of Evant; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Key, of Irving; and numerous nieces and nephews.
