There are varying instances of birth location -- some say Menasha, some say Marshfield (purportedly the township in FDL Co.)

"Victor Brantmeyer

Victor G. Brantmeyer, 71, of 1117 Lawrence St., died Sunday in a Madison nursing home after a three month illness.


Mr. Brantmeyer was a lifelong Madison resident and had worked with the Milwaukee Road for 50 years before retiring two years ago. For the last 25 years of his service he had been a conductor.


Survivors include his wife, Gladys; two sons, Robert and William, Madison; and six grandchildren.


Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. John Doll, Madison; Mrs. Florence Anderson, Ft. Atkinson, and Mrs. Herbert Gorman, Madison; three brothers, Otto and James, Madison, and Roman, Minneapolis, Minn.


Private services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Schroeder funeral home, 3325 E. Washington ave. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in the Middleton Junction cemetery."
