W.D. "Bill" Pritchett, age 86 of Marietta, passed away Thursday, November 14.
A funeral service will be held 1 pm Saturday, November 16 in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna with Dr. Rudy Ross officiating. Interment will be in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park Cemetery .
Mr. Pritchett was born and raised in Canton, GA.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II. He was employed by Lockheed for over 38 years as a research technician before retiring. Mr. Pritchett had been very active in real estate in Cobb County since 1957.
He is survived by sons Terry (Sandra) Pritchett of Acworth, David (Sonya) Pritchett of Centre, AL, sisters Mary (Bill) Lynch of Acworth, Thelma Cochran of Canton, Faye (Leon) Owens of Hickory Flat, 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to the Cobb County Sherriff's Boys Ranch or their favorite charity.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm Friday, November 15 and from 12-1 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
