OBITUARY

Mrs. Bertha Emma Lumbert.

"Close thy eyes, calmly, and without pain; And we will trust in God to see thee yet again." —[ Bryant.]-

Mrs. Bertha Emma Lumbert was born in Harwich, Mass., January 8th, 1872. Her father and mother were Lindsey N. and Emma F. Moody. Her mother is still living in West Falmouth, an inspiration to her friends and neighbors.

Mrs. Lumbert has lived for the past twenty years in West Falmouth having attended school in that place and later marrying, on September 19, 1889, Orlando Merton Lumbert. She passed into the mists beyond the turn of the stream on February 13, 1911, and left on this side of the veil, her husband Orlando M., her son Arthur L., and her daughter Frances M., also her brothers Willis I. and Lindsey E. Moody.

Mrs. Lumbert was a member of the Epworth League of the West Falmouth Methodist Episcopal church. Her cheery smile and happy way among her friends bespoke the beauty ofherlife. She was interred at the Oak Grove Cemetery February 16, 1911.
