Life Legacy
Roy L. Pearson, 94, of Ottawa, died on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at his home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Roy was born on August 28, 1919 in Marseilles, to John and Inger (Johnson) Pearson. Roy married Arvena Holloway on November 29, 1953 in Champaign. He was a graduate of Marseilles High School, class of 1937. Roy attended the University of Illinois. He retired from Libbey Owens Ford in 1988, after over 40 years of services. Roy enjoyed studying and researching his family's genealogy.
Roy is survived by nephews, Don (Elaine) Farmer of Ottawa and Jerry Hougas, of Stroudsburg, PA, nieces, Judy (Randy) Rosengren, of rural Serena and Sandra (Chris) Pedersen, of Newton, NJ and great nephews, Larry (Nancy) Dunlap, of Marseilles and Dennis Dunlap, of Aurora, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Arvena, 2 brothers, Arnold and Russell, 3 sisters, Lillie Efner, Elsie Farmer and Frances Hougas, a niece, Doris Dunlap and a nephew, Glen Efner.
Pallbearers will be Neal Rosengren, Bob Blue, Jon Hougas, Jeff Rublaitus and Robert Kuhn.
Memorials may be directed to the Pet Project.
