George A Conover, of Cardiff, passed away Friday at home. Born in Atlantic City, he was a lifelong area resident.
He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was a tavern owner and operator in Atlantic City and Mays Landing before his retirement.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; one son, Robert G.; four daughters, Patricia Ann Thoms, Donna M. Cekala and Lisa V. Clark and Michelle Leslie; two brothers, Harry and William and 13 grandchildren.
Services at the H.M. Gormley Funeral Home, 44 North Albany Avenue, Atlantic City. Burial will be in the Cemetery of the Absecon United Methodist Church.
