Our loving husband, father, and grandfather, Steve Amicone, 82 of Salt Lake City, died April 6, 2000.

He was born April 2, 1918 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Steve and Antionette Iamuri Amicone, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army for five years in the Guadalcanal during World War II. He married Helen Marks on September 15, 1941 in Bingham Canyon. He worked for 29 years at Kennecott Copper Corp. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. He was a very kind, loving, and thoughtful man. He cared deeply about his family.He is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons, Daniel Amicone of Salt Lake City; and Paul Amicone of West Valley City; twin sister, Prena Irene (John) Romolo of Magna; brother, Jim (Shirley) Amicone of West Valley City; three grandchildren, Tim, Johnny, and Kera; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Curly Nixon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1085 East 700 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84102.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 670 South 1100 East. A vigil service will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. also at the church, where friends may call from 6-7 p.m. At Steve's request he will be cremated following the funeral mass. A private family committal will be held at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Neil O'Donnell and Sons. You will be dearly missed and forever loved.
