Samuel Hall "The Hunter" His grave is located app. 11miles west of Deer Lodge on the right side of Hwy. 62 in the Chestnut Ridge Community He is buried in barn yard of the family faat his request so he could hear his guineas holler. Grave Stone has a picture of his gun carved in it."sam the hunter" f/o a l hall. he is buried in a corn field in his front pasture of his property. he requested this so her could hear the gennie hens. it is 11 miles west of deer lodge on the right side of hwy 62 in the chestnut ridge area. i would consider this to be a famous person but don't know if any one else would. This is on his gravestone Samuel Hall Born Dec 20,1820 Died Oct 7,1887 He was a farmer and a hunter by trade road and hunted he killed 1800 deer with 1 gun he cared in about 4 at a time on his mule he marked it oh his gun stock he has killed 4,000 or more squirrls and tarkeys and coons could not be nombered he willed his gun to his yanger son A L Hall.
