GALVESTON - Leo Lalosevich, 87, of Galveston, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2001, at UTMB Hospital. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 8, 2001, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home with Father Gerald Lewis, SVD, officiating. Burial will follow the service at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock. The family will receive visitorsafter 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 7,2001, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 7:00p.m., led by Deacon John Pistone.

Leo was born October 15, 1913, in Galveston, Texas, and was a lifelong resident of the island. He married Onita Williams on October 14, 1944, and together they raised their three children. During World War II, Leo worked for Southern Cotton Company and Gray's Ironworks. Leo went on to become first, the assistant manager, and later manager of Stewart Beach Park, where he worked for over 25 years
until his retirement in 1978. He also managed the Moody
Center. In his youth, Leo managed a semi-pro softball
team, Schornstein's Team, for many years, and remained an avid baseball fan throughout his life. He loved the Houston Astros. Leo will be fondly remembered as a good, giving husband and a loving father and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his son, Andrew Leo Lalosevich; daughter, Linda Anne Havard; and three
brothers, Alex, Johnny, and Jewel Lalosevich.

Leo is survived by his wife of 58 years, Onita Lalosevich, of Galveston; daughter, Freida Frank, of Galveston; five granddaughters and two grandsons; and a special dose friend, Max Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Max Wilson, Chuck Wilson, Harold Funk, Kenneth Smith, John Micheletti, Joe Le Page, Stephen Havard, and Mitch McNeely.
