Ruth M. Clark, 91, of St. Louis, formerly of Columbia, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born Nov. 15, 1909, to Alfred "Tug" Murray and Ada Whilhite Murray in Columbia.
Mrs. Clark had been employed in the business office at Schneithorst Restaurant for more than 25 years. Before moving into Manor Grove Nursing Home in 1996, Mrs. Clark opened her home to provide lodging to families coming to St. Louis to have their children treated at the nearby Shriner's Children's Hospital. She had been a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in Ladue since 1958 and had been active in their Friendship Club.
She was a member of New Beginnings.
Survivors include three sons, David Clark, Thom Clark, and John Clark; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, William Clark; and three brothers, Peter, Norris and Jack Murray.
