SANDY--Andrew Foss Peterson, age 76, our loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, returned home to his Heavenly Father on March 29, 1995.

He was born January 5, 1919 in Lakeside, Arizona to Hyrum Peterson and Anna Rogers.

Married Marian McKean Newson. She preceded him in death. He married Vonzza Bingham in Bountiful, Utah on March 3, 1959. "Grandpa Peter" was a Veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was the water master in Davis County and then superintendent of the Sandy City Water Department. He was a master craftsman in woodworking and his home reflects the many skills he had. "He was a kind and gentle man who never uttered unkind words."

Survivors: wife, Vonzza, Sandy; daughters, Sherleen Elder, Kearns; Sandra Elder, Midvale; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, Theo, Dale and Marna Woodside, all Snowflake, Arizona. Preceded in death by a son, Andrew Foss Peterson Jr. (Butch) and four brothers.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 1, 1995 at 11 a.m. in the Hillcrest 5th LDS Ward Chapel 915 E. Peach Blossom Dr., Sandy. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Friday 7-9 p.m. and Saturday at the church 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates. [NOTE: burial located in Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery]
