Abraham Newell was the son of Abraham (1555-?) and Frances (1559-?) Newell both of Ipswich, Suffolk Co. England.
Isaake Newell I was one of six children: Faith Bennett, Grace Toy, Abraham, John, Isaac, Jacob.
Son Jacob Newell does not appear in the 1634 passenger list, but Eliot tells us that Jacob was part of the family upon arrival in Roxbury, suggesting that he was born at sea.
The entry for Abraham Newell in Eliot's church record, as published, gives the eldest child as "Ruth," a misreading of "Faith," which then misled Savage.
Isaake Newell I married in Roxbury, Suffolk, Co., MA on 12/14/1659 to Elizabeth Curtis (b:02/13/1624/25-d:1707) from Nazeing Essex Co. England.
