Son of Jonathan Stevens & Olive Hyatt

Married Martha Durfee, 21 Jun 1836, Kirtland, Lake, Ohio

He joined the Church in 1831. After his marriage to Martha Durfee, In Kirtland, Ohio they journeyed to Nauvoo, Illinois. They were driven out of Nauvoo with the Saints in 1846. He was a member of the Mormon Battalion being called from Council Bluffs in July of 1846 by Captain James Allen of the U.S. Army. He served in Company "B" and arrived with the contingent in San Diego. He came to Utah in 1847 and later fought in the Walker War. He died in Ferron, Emery county, Utah April 18, 1886.

LYMAN STEVENS. Private. On detached service since Oct. 17, 1846, by order of Colonel Doniphan, Commanding Army of the West. Mustered out with detachment, to date July 16, 1847.
