HAMPTON - James "Jimmie" Joseph Ellis, 5, and Nikki Marie Ellis, 7, died Sunday, Sept. 30, in Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters, Norfolk.

Both were lifelong Hampton residents.

James was a kindergarten student at Capt. John Smith Elementary School, Hampton, and Nikki was in the second grade.

Survivors include their parents, Joseph P. and Pamela A. Ellis; their paternal grandparents, Ernie and Irene Cross of Hampton; their maternal grandparents, Richard and Shirley Poe of Lavonia, Ga.; and several aunts and uncles.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Lawrence B. Wood Funeral Chapel by Dr. Aubrey J. Rosser. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters, 800 W. Olney Road, Norfolk 23507.
