KEARNEY — Kenneth "Ken" M. Frank, 71, of Kearney died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 at his home.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with the Revs. Paul Colling and Abraham Kaduthodiyil officiating. Burial will be at Kearney Cemetery. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Jan. 12, 1942, in Hays, Kan., to Frederick and Cresentia (Glassman) Frank.

On March 20, 1965, he married Andra Attebery in Clay Center, Kan. She died in 2012

Survivors include his daughters, Melanie Moss and her husband, Henry, of Lincoln, Amy Stump and her husband, Troy, of Kearney, Heather Myers and her husband, Corey, of Grand Island and Erin Wilson of Kearney; sons, Mike Frank and his wife, Angel, of Granger, Ind., and Eric Frank and his partner, David McCalmont, of Kearney; brother, Gerald Frank of Hays, Kan.; and grandchildren, Preston, Abbie, Anthony, Phillip, Michael, Alexis, Meredith, Jillian, Levi, Sophia, Ava, Seth, and William.

He graduated from St. Joseph Military Academy in Hays. He then graduated from Kansas State University.

He and Andra lived in Omaha where he worked as an electrical engineer for McMartin Industries. They moved to Kearney in 1974.

Ken continued his career as an engineer at Agtronic, which later became Coleman Powermate. As an engineer, Ken holds 13 patents, including one for a residential hydrogen fuel cell generator. He also designed the power supply to the Martian Orbiter Mariner IV.

Ken was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. He had a strong faith and enjoyed helping at the church. Ken loved his children and grandchildren, watching Husker and Notre Dame football, Kearney Catholic High School sporting events, and gardening. He was a great jazz musician and as a saxophone player performed at the Offutt Air Force Base Officers Club.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers.
