James C. Meyer, 21, of 22511 Mueller Road, Kiel, died unexpectedly at his home Saturday evening from complication of a kidney transplant operation he underwent four months ago.
He was born June 13, 1963, in Sheboygan, a son of Joseph and Mary Steffes Meyer. Mr. Meyer was a 1981 graduate of Kiel High School and had been a student of Lakeland College. He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, and the Kiel Area Jaycees.
Surviving are his parents; three sisters, Linda, a student at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Barbara and Lisa, both at home; and three brothers, Randy, a student at UW-River Falls, Joseph L. and Daniel, both at home; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Catherine Steffes of rural Mount Calvary, and his paternal grandfather, Henry P. Meyer, rural Kiel.
A funeral mass will be at Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Kiel, with the Rev. Thomas Leannah, pastor, celebrant. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
