Miss Hazel S. Hepworth, age 81, died Thursday, July 27, 2006. She was born in Butternut, WI on March 3, 1925 to Samuel and Edna (Wilder) Hepworth. She was a graduate of Western Michigan University with a Masters Degree and she also obtained a Special Education Certificate for teaching the mentally handicapped. Miss Hepworth had been a teacher at Reeths Puffer Public Schools; she was a former secretary of Calvary Church and the Retired Teachers Association; a member of Calvary Church, the MEA and NEA. SURVIVORS: 4 sisters, Daisy (Robert) Stinson of Midland, MI, Joy (Robert) Valentin of Phoenix, AZ, Sarah (Robert) Christiansen of Colorado Springs, CO, Florence (Rolland) Owen of Grand Rapids; 1 brother, Dr. Claude (Mary) Hepworth of Woodway, WA; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Daniel, David and Samuel "Gene" Hepworth and 2 sisters, Mary Gill and Nola Akers. SERVICE
