SMITH, WILMA JEAN - age 74, of Knoxville, passed away on Monday, November 11th, 2013, surrounded by loving family and friends. She was a beautician and owner of "The Mane Event" in Knoxville. She's preceded in death by parents, Welker and Gertrude Miles; siblings, Thelma Swanner, Patsy Robertson, James and Homer Miles. She's survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Sherman "Smitty" Smith; children, Helen (James "Peanut") McHaffie, Lynn Dinkens, John (Sandy) Dinkens; grandchildren, Sarah (Andrew) Davis, Brandy (Eddie) Woods, Joseph, Abby, and Allie Dinkens; siblings, Carzel Owens and Billie Miles; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Tony and Sandy Monasmith, Wendy Gifford, Carol Garrity, Mark "Tank" and Renee Scarbrough, and Connie Smith. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 14th, 2013, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with funeral service following at 7:00 p.m. at Highland West Memorial Funeral Home.
