Leah E. (Enterline) Walker, 95, formerly of Mahoning Manor (Penn Street), passed away on Monday, Nov.11, 2013, surrounded by her daughter, Janie, and family.

Leah was born July 22, 1918, and was the fourth of 11 children born to the late William F. and Jeanett (Ritter) Enterline. All her siblings preceded her in death, Eleanor Reidle, Charles Enterline, Geraldine Newburg, Jane Dietrich, Virginia Enterline, Anna Enterline, Marguerite Enterline and infants, Mildred, Martha and Rose Enterline. Leah's love and devotion to her family was shown as she was a guardian angel to many.

Leah graduated from Milton High School with the Class of 1936. She met her husband, John S. Walker, while attending high school. They married on Dec. 24, 1937, and shared 58 happy and loving years together before John's passing on Oct. 1, 1996.

John and Leah shared their love and nurturing with a daughter and son, Janie (E. Jane Bloom), married to Bill (Willard) Bloom, of Milton, and a son, John Thomas Walker, who preceded her in death in March 2004.

Leah was blessed with five grandchildren, Willard "Bill" Bloom, of Milton, Thomas Stauffer and wife Ellen, of Mifflinburg, Carissa Lindenfeld and husband Daniel, of Millville, Gretchen Bellott and husband Chad, of Danville, and Sarah Lurowist and husband Brad, of Bloomsburg; eight great-grandchildren, Ryan, Jillian, Sara, Emily, Emma, John, Ruby and Violet; plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Leah was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, of Milton, and was one of the oldest living members.

Being a faithful and dedicated employee, she held various jobs through her years. John and she worked together in silk mills in their younger years. A stay-at-home "Mom," she worked as a part-time clerk at Bogle's Orange and Black Store on Hepburn Street, and she retired as a waitress from the Betsy Ross Tea Room.

Always being a devoted and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, she still found time for volunteering at Riverview Manor, Lewisburg, in arts and crafts. Never tiring, she enjoyed her hobbies — playing the piano, oil painting which she began in her 60s, playing cards (pinochle and 500) with numerous card clubs, crocheting and her "love," gardening. She loved and enjoyed smelling flowers to the end.

Family and friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1125 Mahoning St., Milton, with services to follow with Pastor Pat Pittsnogle, Pastor Alice Rauch and her niece, Pastor Deborah Davis, officiating.

Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Milton.

Contributions may be made in her memory to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1125 Mahoning St., Milton, PA 17847, or Albright Care Services Fund, Development Office, 90 Maplewood Drive, Lewisburg, Pa.
