Mrs. Margaret Jane Walker was born in Knox county, Mo., March 11, 1865, and died of lung trouble July 16, 1904 (sic),age40 years, 4 months and 8 days. She was the daughter of Thomas Bowen, and was married to Alexander Walker Jan. 9, 1890. To them were born four children, one died in infancy, two sons and one daughter are living. She became a member of the Christian church at Hazel Dell in 1891 and continued a faithful member until her death. She was baptized by J. W. Davis, who conducted the funeral services July 21, at the Hazel Dell church, and the body was laid to rest in the Hazel Dell cemetery. She was a noble, good christian woman, and leaves a father, mother, four brothers, one sister, a husband, three children, and many relatives and friends to mourn their loss. J. W. Davis.
