He was a farmer and member of American Legion Post #211, V.F.W., Limberlost Square Dancers, Jay County Historical Society, Bryant Senior Citizens and Bryant High School graduate.
Surviving are one son, two daughters Mrs. Bevan (Ronda) Bailey of Portland and Mrs. Kyle (Renae) Epler of Portland, one step-son Mitch DuBois of Royerton, two step-daughters Mrs. Ernie (Norma) Whitacre of Bryant and Mrs. Bill (Pam) Cochran of Hartford City, One brother and one sister, Six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 A.M. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Borders presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post #211. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 – 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Jay County Band Boosters or Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana.
